  • All guests must be 18 years or older.

    Valid ID that reflects residency 90+ miles away from Caravan. We unfortunately cannot host any DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia residents. ID must be valid, not expired or damaged, and must be physically present. USA passports, residency cards, student IDs, photos of IDs are not accepted.

    Each guest should have valid payment on file. The card on file must be issued to the guest who is staying.

  • DC, Maryland, and Virginia residents who live within 90 miles are permitted to stay in our hotel rooms only.

    The hostel is reserved for guests who live 90+ miles away from Caravan.

  • Check in starts at 4PM (16:00)

    We cannot always accommodate or guarantee early check in, but if you arrive before check in, you are welcome to make use of our common spaces until your room is ready.

    Arriving late? If you are coming at 10PM or after, please alert us as soon as possible.

  • Check out at or before 11 AM to avoid late fees.

    We unfortunately cannot accommodate late check out and fees will be added to your bill if you are not out of the room by 11 AM. Fees start at $15 and can go upwards of a total to one additional nights stay + tax.

  • Yes we do!

    We have luggage locker storage in our lobby area for guests to use before they check in and to use on their day of check out.

    Please note: we do not supply locks for these lockers! You must bring your own or purchase a lock from our front desk for $5. The HighRoad is not responsible for stored luggage.

  • There is a 2 night minimum for all reservations. Guests can stay with us for up to 14 nights in a 365 day period.

  • Our in room and lobby lockers are 17.5 in (43cm) wide | 23.5 in (60 cm) deep | 34.5 in (88 cm) tall!

  • For standard reservations, you must be 18 years or older. Large school groups are the only exception when booking with the group coordinator.

  • We unfortunately do not have our own private parking for guests and we strongly recommend reading our Parking Info page or the most up to date and detailed information on parking.

  • Room assignments are assigned in advance to ensure each guest is in the most comfortable accommodation possible. While we receive a lot of requests for specific beds or rooms; we do not make any guarantees in the event that we cannot accommodate your request. All requests are noted and we will try our best, but no promises!

  • While we are a team of cat and dog lovers, pets are not permitted to stay at Caravan

    Emotional Support Animals are not permitted to stay.

    By law, trained service animals are allowed.

  • As we are a historic row house, we do not have an elevator. However, staff members are always happy to help with getting luggage up and down the stairs!

  • All gender dorm rooms are located on our top floor, which require stairs. The women only dorm rooms are accessible on the main floor or second floor.

  • Guests can stay for up to 14 nights per 365 day period. If rules are broken, management may enforce a shorter length of stay period.
