Directions to and from: IAD (Dulles International)

IAD Airport to Caravan Hostel

🚇 Step 1: Silver Line Metrorail (Airport → Farragut West)

  • Board the Silver Line train at Dulles International Airport Station (connected underground to the terminal)

  • Ride eastbound toward Largo Town Center for about 16–20 stops (~50 min) to Farragut West Station

🚌 Step 2: Bus Take Metrobus D72

  • Exit Farragut West, then walk ~2–3 min to the bus stop at 17th St & K/I St NW

  • Catch the D72 bus bus towards Mt Pleasant

  • Ride for ~7 stops (~15 min) to Columbia Rd NW & Mintwood Pl

🚶 Step 3: Walk (~2 min)

  • From Columbia Rd & Mintwood Pl, walk towards Streets Market on the corner of Belmont Rd. Walk down Belmont Rd to reach 18th St. Cross the crosswalk onto 18th St.

  • Make a right heading southbound on 18th St towards Kalorama Rd.

  • Caravan will be on your lefthand side at 2311 18th St - a purple and pink building.

Caravan Hostel to IAD Airport

🚶 Step 1: Walk to Bus Stop

  • Exit out front door and make a right towards Belmont Rd.

  • Once you get to the crosswalk at 18th St + Belmont RD, cross and walk up Belmont RD.

  • At the top of Belmont RD, you will hit Columbia Rd NW. Cross at the crosswalk and make a right.

  • Infront of LAPIS there is a bus stop at Columbia Rd + Mintwood Place

🚌 Step 2: Take Metrobus D72

  • Board Bus D72 toward Lafayette Square

  • Ride ~8 stops (~15 minutes) to 17th St NW & I St NW, near Farragut West Metro Station.

🚇 Step 3: Silver Line Metrorail

  • Walk into Farragut West Station.

  • Board the Silver Line train toward Ashburn.

  • Ride ~16–20 stops (~50–55 minutes) to Dulles International Airport Station (connected to terminal via pedestrian tunnel).
